Evaluation & Examination Schedule


As per the Govt. Resolution dated 20/08/10, the evaluation pattern for STD I to VIII would be modified as follows:-

1) Evaluation is classified into Formative evaluation and Summative evaluation for each subject.

2) Formative evaluation comprises of class work & HW completion, Oral tasks(Q-A comprehension, reading, elocution, interview, group discussion), Practical / Experiments, Activities(individual, group), Project, Surprise tests / Open book tests, Homework / Class test (essay, story writing, letter, descriptive writing, composition etc), Questionnaires, self study group activities etc. Which would be conducted periodically throughout the year. Students would be informed about this in advance by the respective teachers. 

3) Summative evaluation comprises of written examination and oral / practical examination which would be conducted at the end of every semester. The weight age of marks for the semester exam is also reduced. It varies std. wise.

4) An average out of 100 per subject would be evaluated at the end of every year. There would be declaration of only grades in the report cards. The grade key is as follows:

A – 1

91 to 100%

B – 2

61 to 70%

 D

33 to 40%

A – 2

81 to 90%

C – 1  

51 to 60%

E – 1

21 to 32%

B – 1

71 to 80%

C – 2

41 to 50%

E – 2

20% & less

 

5) As per the above mentioned evaluation scheme, no unit test would be conducted. The unit tests which have already been conducted would be reduced out of 10, and entered as class tests for the First term formative evaluation. Summative evaluation would be as per the new pattern. The Schedule of the same would be given to the students.

Exam Schedule for Pre-Primary 

  • Two examinations are held during the year.
  • I term comprises of one unit test and terminal examination.
  • II term comprises of second unit test and final examination.

Exam Schedule for Primary

  • Two examinations are held during the year.
  • I term comprises of one mid term test and terminal examination.
  • II term comprises of second mid term test and final examination.

Exam Schedule for Secondary

  • Four examinations are held during the year.
  • I term comprises of two mid term test and terminal examination.
  • II term comprises of two mid term test and final examination.

Examinations and Tests

  • The school follows the syllabus as prescribed by Maharashtra State Board of Education.
  • Up to VIII standard, there will be two examinations and periodic tests will be conducted throughout the year for 10 mark each subject.
  • Evaluation pattern and Examination schedule for std IX to XII will be as per Maharashtra State Board.
  • A pupil who takes or gives dishonest help at an examination will be debarred from the rest of the examination and he/she will get zero. A boy or girl may be dismissed in a case of cheating if caught more than once.
  • A pupil, who has not paid all his /her fee, may be disallowed to appear for any examination.
  • Promotions are decided on the pupil’s progress throughout the year based on the results of terminal and final examinations and remedial tests.
  • Highest attendance will be awarded.
  • Promotions are according to the government rule.
  • Weak students should come to school till 30th April/ till told for improvement tests.
  • Progress report cards will be issued only to the parents.
